It has been a wonderful summer with cooler temperatures than we are used to experiencing. Our black and red Angus cattle are enjoying a salad bar of different grasses and legumes. The fields, rich in clover, serve double duty as both a nectar source for our honey bees

Welcome Spring!
We built a greenhouse! While we welcome Spring, we also acknowledge that the cold weather serves an important role. A good, deep, frost has a purifying effect on the soil; killing many pathogens and harmful insects.
Winter Update
What’s Happening on the Farm Winter has offered us a welcomed break from the busy growing season, but there is always work to be done. This time of the year is planning time, when we dream about what next season will be like.

Season’s Greetings Happy New Year! We’ve been very busy and are sure you have been too. Now that the cows are comfy in their new barn, we have some time to plan for the New Year, which includes a new Vegetable CSA, and pastured pork.
